The mission of Project Wezesha is to empower the people of rural Tanzania through increased access to education for children in remote villages.
Wezesha is the Kiswahili word for Empower. Project Wezesha was founded in 2009 by Lucas Lameck and Rai Farrelly. Project Wezesha supports children with secondary school scholarships and the construction of secondary schools in collaboration with local village leaders. Relying on local leaders to guide our programming ensures that there is village buy in and actual, rather than perceived needs are met.
